~ HOLTON CLASSIC VW & PORSCHE
SHOW - 7th May 2006 ~

We were really lucky with the weather for our Holton Classic.
Set in part of a 350 acre, we couldn't have wished for more.
It was a really great day...fantastic to see the convoy of
35 bugs & buses stream into the show...thanks to Viking
(and the Mizfits) for sorting that one out!
It would be nice to make that a regular convoy to our show!

Huge variety of dubs as always, including Paul's Scwimmerwagen
and a nice split fire-bus. Great to see so many top dubs and everyone enjoying themselves.

With so many stunning vdubs, the judges had a difficult time judging the Show n Shine. The eventual winners were:

- Best Type 1 Stock went to Jason Baker with his '77 1200 bug.
- Best Type 25 went to Danny Jones with his '83 customised van.
- Best Porsche went to Jules with her '67 Cali Speedster...her first ever car show and she hasn't had the speedster long!! :-)

- Best Paint AND Best Type 2 Bay went to Chris Ford in his '72 "Black Beauty" bay.
- Oldest VW went to Mark Yates with his '54 oval bug.
- Best Type 1 Modified went to Randy Jewell in his gorgeous '62 bug (mate...you'd gone by the time we did the presentation, so email me your address and I'll get your trophy in the post)
- Best Modified VW AND Best Engine went to Kerry Limm with his '72 JAS buggy
- Lowest VW went to Nick Farrow with his gorgeous resto cal '62 1200 bug.
- Best Type 3 went Rex Creed with his '69 square back
- Best Type 2 Split AND Best of Show went to Erna Gough with her stunning '65 21 window samba.

Big thanks to everyone for coming. Shameless plugs go out to our sponsors:

South Coast Wheels, Custom & Commercial, Hoonahs Bug Shack, German & Swedish, vwmagazine.co.uk and Colonel Kilgore Clothing...thanks for supporting us guys!!

See you all at the next one on Sunday 17th Sept this year...in the meantime enjoy plenty of summer roadtrips :-)
